Hope you three had/have great birthdays and don't get in too much trouble. It still cracks me up on my calendar thing where Uncle Kent wrote his birthday with "send money", and then the day after wrote, "Hangover Day, Sleep In and No Work!" Or something like that =) Funny funny. By the way, more pictures ondropbox.com again! Thanks Dad for keeping up with my blog =) I'm really excited to get back home in two years and be able to look back and kind of use it as a journal for my mission. That'll be super cool. Anyways, let me know what you all did for your/their birthdays.
I am exhausted. I've been going to sleep earlier, taking little 10-20 min. power naps during meal times, trying to keep myself well energized, etc. But being on a mish just poops you out. Plus, it doesn't help that we've been walking for hours and hours on end almost every day doing finding work. Woo hoo. Ain't complaining though =) Not complaining. Nope. Just gonna move on now =)
I am exhausted, part 2. Just kidding, but as far as missionary work goes, this is one of those times where a bunch of crap went down, we don't have any solid investigators now, and for these past 2 weeks, we've had hardly any appointments. Side note: That was indeed the worst run-on sentence conceivable to the minds of man. Continuing: Now, we have a bunch of potentials though, so hopefully we can find the interested/ready/prepared ones during this week. We've burned through a bunch of our potentials already, but I'm hopeful that it'll pick up soon.
We went to the Rijks Museum today and it was pretty incredible. It's humongous. Tons of cultures, tons of stuff, covers thousands of years, bla bla bla. Started losing interest after a while though because there was just so freakin much. We'll come back in a few weeks or so and check out the rest of it. Here's my plan so far when we all come here in the future though: We should come to Amsterdam in the spring time, definitely rent some bikes and get a real feel of Amsterdam, go to the Artis Zoo, go to the Rijks Museum, and I'll figure out the rest later. But those two things have been my favorite. And Chris will probably want to do the tour of the Ajax stadium. It's humongous and looks pretty incredible from outside. They actually just won the country's tournament yesterday and so the city was going a bit crazy. That was fun.
I wish I could remember and tell you guys all of the weird stuff we see and experience as missionaries. I thinks it's just because we're outside, talking and being around people the whole entire day, every day, and so we just naturally come across tons of weird or crazy situations. At least I'll have tons of stories for you guys when I get home in a year and a half =) Makes me wonder more and more about Chris' and Jason's missions though and if they were pretty similar to mine. I'm sure they were. Which means we're all gonna have some good stories to swap around.
Okay, I don't got too much to say this week, but thanks for everyones updates. I really really am grateful for everyone's support. It means a lot to me. Especially when the weeks drag on, I can look forward to some good emails on Monday. So keep em coming and thank you everyone! Love you all, a lot. A ton, a bunch, the works. PS, I want a Philly Cheesesteak. make it happen. Just kidding =) I sort of had one at Subway... Sorta...\
Ok bye!
