Well for Easter, my body was like: Let's give Elder Johnson the flu! At least I think it was the flu. Saturday night, kept waking up with a sore throat. Sunday morning, tried getting around the house, took a shower, absolutely exhausted for some reason, didn't even have the strength to get dressed in my suit, so I told my companion that I was really sorry, but I didn't think I'd be going to church that day. Went to bed right after I told him that and my muscles just hurt so bad all over. We asked the other missionaries in the ward to take care of our investigators at church and our dinner appointment. I slept pretty much the whole entire day. Then, last night I, of course, hardly slept at all. Due to sleeping the whole day and having a really bad sore throat. So today, I've just been sleeping some more and recovering. It's a lot better today though, thank goodness. Tomorrow, I should be fine!
But I unfortunately am exhausted right now and don't feel like writing too much... Here's a miracle though!! Our mission is exploding with referrals now after a few online projects have been launched with Facebook and Mormon.org. It's freakin awesome. Not near as many referrals as some other missions.... But a lot for us =) Anyways, Elder Larsen and I are walking this one day to go look up one of these referrals at about 8:00 at night. It's in the ghetto of Amsterdam and Elder Larsen and I are just having a good chat. Buzz the referral's door, no answer. BLAST!!! We decide to buzz a few of the doors in the same building and the very next one that we press just so happens to open the building door for us. So the button we pressed though, didn't have a clear number on it. We think it's the highest door on this building though, so we climb the stairs and the whole time we can hear two huge dogs just barking their flippin heads off. It's getting louder and louder as we get closer to the top and we realize that the dogs live at the door we think we buzzed. So we of course decide that it probably wasn't that door after all and start to walk down the stairs again =D
Then the door swings open and this little lady says, ''Hello Elders!'' I start to contact her and then stop-''Wait, do you know us?'' ''Yeah, I use to take lessons from the Elders before! Come on in!'' asdkfjhslkdglksjdf WOAH!!! Okay. Long story, short: She had talked with Elders like 10years ago, moved and lost contact unfortunately. Then last night, she had a dream where a women came to her and told her to find the right church. So this night, she felt like reading the bible with her daughter. Then as they were reading, bzzzz! We showed up. So I joked around with her and said, ''Well... Here we are!'' Anyways, she asked how much a BoM costs and I pulled one out of my bag and gave it to her, saying it was free. She was super happy and we had an awesome discussion with her. Then we met 4 or 5 of her 6 kids and their family is super awesome. They all just love and respect each other a ton. The parents are both from Curaciao, she speaks like 5 languages actually. But we mentioned some of the activities in the Church and she kept just yelling out to her kids and they all were like, ''Yeah, that sounds fun, we'll come together!'' Whhhhaaaaaa...????? So now we're teaching an awesome family. This lady was totally prepared by God!
Okay I'm tired. I love you guys and thanks for your letters and support! Bye bye
