Well thats annoying. Ha ha, but Belgium has been great so far; Our branch has some awesome people that Ive met so far, but we actually had stake conference this last Sunday, so I havent really met most of the branch yet. Listening to the Vlaams has been great so far. Ive already experienced it a lot from meeting Belgian people in the Netherlands, going to Brussels and finding a (small) number of people that spoke Dutch (Vlaams) there, and Ive talked with Belgians on the phone before while I was serving in the office.
Its great to be out of the office by the way. Its just great to be outside everyday and doing lots of missionary work. Unfortunately, we have to travel a lot in our area though to go teach people in surrounding cities and the transportation here is ridiculous. So were taking hour long bus rides several times everyday. Yikes.
This place is so much different than the Netherlands. Im going through a bit of culture shock again. Everything looks and feels different. People actually have yards and garages! Everything in the Netherlands is just so packed together. The water is gross here though, so we buy a bunch of water here at the grocery store every week; thankfully its very cheap. The milk is also all cartoned and tastes weird, but its fine for just cereal and stuff. Everybody is also super nice here and they dont slam doors in our faces. I think Im gonna have an easy last few months.
So happy birthday to Ryan and Zach! Hopefully it was awesome. Did Zach get a kiss from his girlfriend? Just kiddin =)
So Elder Warner, my companion, is a lot of fun and me and him seem to work really well together. Elder Larsen and Elder Parr (living with us) are also freakin awesome and weve all been laughing and playing tons of games together. Tons of card games while were on trains and busses together as well.
Cool, hope things are going well for everyone. Wish me luck on giving my first district meeting with Elder Warner tomorrow.
K love yall, bye!
oh poops, bad news by the way: BYU isnt giving me any scholarships for this year yet, but supposedly thats typical for your freshman year here. But thats still a bummer of course...
