So this week:
I drove a car in Holland. FINALLY!!!! I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS (that) DAY FOR SO LONG!!! I finally convinced the APs to let me do that. Hilarious. I just drove to the grocery store, but it was awesome.
Our two baptismal dates are going really well. The young newly-wed Indian woman (Rohini) is super excited still about her baptismal date, her husband isn't really interested in the Gospel at all though, but supports her very well.
The young dude (Nick) who we meet with at his father's/uncle's auto junkyard is stopping alcohol now. He was super prepared for that lesson about the Word of Wisdom, which was awesome because we were a bit freaked out to tell him. He drinks two beers usually while we're giving him lessons. He's always still sober enough for everything, but he definitely drank quite a bit. Now, he's doing really well though and is almost completely off of it.
Their baptismal dates are in July and transfers are a week and two days away now. Rumor is... That I'll be leaving. Not for sure. But that's the rumor..... Not quite sure how I feel about that yet, but I trust Elder Larsen to at least keep things going good for our investigators. He's been an awesome companion. No matter how different we are from each other. We both just work really hard at always keeping things fun and good between us, so I'm super grateful for that.
I gave my second talk (while on my mission) in church yesterday. That was fun. Actually, God reminded me just how much I have to rely on Him for everything. Usually, I really enjoy speaking, ya know? But God just blocked my brain the whole entire week before my talk. So I pretty much had nothing prepared. It just wasn't coming for some reason. And I just prayed hardcore and told God how much I trusted him to help me give a talk that could help out the ward. Then I got up, feeling a bit nervous, and just opened my mouth and waited for the words to come. Thank goodness he didn't forsake me, and the talk went super well. I know for sure that I really impacted a few specific people. So I'm very grateful for the Spirit that was there with me! Definitely a miracle and a good lesson for me.
I talked about families though. Especially how we're all apart of our Heavenly Father's family. So I talked a lot about service, love, magnifying callings, the Priesthood, etc. I could feel the Spirit really strong while I was testifying about those things. Yay for confirmations that the Church is true =)
Well life is good =) I love you all and hope your week goes great!
AND HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO DAD AND JASON!!!! And to Chris I guess. He might be married and have a kid. I don't know. He doesn't write me. OH SNAP! =D
