I'm just gonna go to BYU, take my generals and a few other classes to explore career options, and live on campus. How does living on campus work? Should I be working on finding roommates? Or just go for it? Thanks for everybody's advice and counsel! Very much appreciated.
So this week, we sent home five missionaries. It's always weird and kinda sad when you're close with some of them and then all of a sudden they've reached the end of their time here! Crazy stuff. One of them, has had legal problems like his whole mission, and I've been working on his situation off and on every since I got here. It's good just to know that he's back safe and sound. We were driving around to embassies and government offices even on his last day. Ridiculous. And if we hadn't, he would've gotten stopped and detained at the airport. They still even stopped him for twenty minutes at security to talk about what was going on with his legality. Yikes. But all is well that ends well.
Now I'm gonna be a lawyer.
Just kidding, ha ha funny joke. So we also set a baptismal date with Kim, the South Korean girl! It was freakin awesome, she's just so unbelievably prepared. She's gonna do great things! She's also just the perfect investigator for us to have right now. She does a ton just by herself to learn more about the gospel and she's very social with ward members. That's perfect for us because we don't have a ton of time and so it's nice to have an investigator who basically just takes care of herself and progresses by herself. I'm very grateful to God that he's allowed us to be here for her at this time. It's awesome to see that God wants us to also experience the joy of missionary work even while we're very busy with our office work. It all just works together so perfectly! Sorry it's kinda hard to describe how perfectly everything is working out for us, unless you were here! You'll just have to trust me =)
I'm getting pretty pro at driving stick. I drove through Brussels yesterday (insanity) and then drove back to Leiden from Brussels. That's like a three hour drive. Wonderful.... Elder Yocom is grateful he doesn't just have to drive the van now though =) Our automatic car though is currently out of commission because the brakes gotta get replaced on it. So we're driving the van everyday now. I still don't get why people think driving stick is fun. Sometimes it's fun to see how fast you can get up through all of the gears, but it's horrible when you're just doing city driving... Especially in a place as insane as Brussels..... As a reminder, Belgium is where they have five lane round-a-bouts sometimes with lanes drawn, sometimes not. And everybody is just crazy in how they drive. Super fun........
But I'm alive. So that's good. Anyways, have a great week. Love you all! Bye!
