Elders Johnson & Yocum at the Netherlands Temple
I'm a proud father of another 20 new missionaries. Just kidding, but it's cool bringing a big group of new missionaries into the mission. Freakin stressful. Especially when you're also killing a group of 17 missionaries. I'm just glad that's all over. Now I'm just catching up on missed work.
The baptism for Pablo was awesome. It went super well and the next day he shared his testimony in Fast and Testimony Meeting about how baptism needs to be your first priority before work and the ward loves him now. He's freakin hilarious and did his best to do the whole testimony in Dutch, but sometimes because he's got some rough Dutch, it just made his testimony all the funnier. So basically, when he got that job before, it was at a Muslim bakery or something. So he walks in, sees everybody greeting each other with the usual Muslim greetings and just starts to copy them (he has no Muslim background by the way). So they start working for a while and the boss tells them that it's all break time and they can go pray now. So all of the Muslims go to start praying and Pablo goes to the opposite side of the room and sits down. Why? Because he brought his Book of Mormon with him!!!! Ha ha ha ha =D So awesome. So he's just reading in it when the boss walks over to him and surprisedly asks, "Pablo, what's that book?" He tells him it's the Book of Mormon, kind of like "Duh!" Then the guy asks, "Pablo..... are you Christian?" Yeah. "Pablo, today is your first day. And your last day." And Pablo just says, "Okay good! I get to go home and sleep! Bye!" Doesn't care at all =D Ha ha. So he's telling this story at the pulpit and then says how he realized that he should have gotten baptized, especially because that job was no good for him anyways. So he closes by saying, "So because of Book of Mormon, Pablo lost his job [long pause and laughter], but Pablo is baptized. . . . Pablo's happy, get it?" Ha ha ha =D Freakin awesome..... The end.
So I started to consider the past couple weeks letting you guys pick me up, but then I won't be able to go to the Fall semester of school =( which sucks. So that probably won't happen...... More news, I'm strongly considering helping teach at the MTC. So that means I'd be going to BYU. I'm not totally sure about that though. Also, (Dad,) I've got into contact already with the U about what I need to do. They said that they can talk to you guys about me for classes and stuff and you'll just call a number first that they gave me. But I'm already accepted and stuff. So no registering needs to be done there. As for BYU, my application that I was filling out from before is actually still saved onto my BYU account, so I can easily just update that myself. So, I'll take care of school stuff for now until I'm more clear about the decision I wanna make.
I still really want counsel though about what I should do..... Christ is still pulling me towards the Y.... and a few other things as well.... It's starting to seem like a really good option. But whatever I choose for my career is going to really be the biggest factor for that because I want to go to whichever school has a better program for that. So what do I do for a career?!?!?!?!
As for Christmas call back home, I still don't know what our plans for that exactly are yet. We're working on it though.
That Christmas piano book is awesome by the way =)
Okay, well I love you all a lot. Have a great week and here's some pics:
