Man, I can't keep thinking of new subject lines every week. Talk about exhausting. The good news is that I just got an email from BYU saying that I've been accepted. That's good, otherwise that whole housing thing would've been a bit awkward. So woo hoo!!
Last night we hosted a fireside at our church. That was cool. There's a group of four elders in our mission who've been given a special assignment as a singing musical group (one plays piano). But they basically travel around the mission, sing at members' homes, then sing at their wards, then sing at a big fireside for their stake. The purpose of it is also to strengthen members, but mainly to provide a really spiritual opportunity where members can invite their friends to attend this music night. So anyways, they did kind of a smaller performance at our ward as a fireside for us and we filled the rest of the time with Mormon Message videos and little talks by us. It was super freakin spiritual. There were people crying and it was awesome. While I was doing my talk to sum things up at the end, the Spirit was just so obviously present in the room. That's one of those things that you hope people will never forget just because it was so special. So that was a super cool experience for me.
Earlier that day, I went with two elders and President and Sister Robinson to go renew all of their Belgian residence permits. The appointment went fine, but we were going to go do our usual lunch thing in the Brussels centrum afterwards, but the freakin Belgium work unions were protesting again and blocked the whole centrum. So that sucked, but we went to Antwerpen instead and that city is also amazing. Belgium is just a beautiful country. Maybe I'll go serve there after my time in the office....
We had to drop Kim this week unfortunately. It was really sad, but she's not reading in the Book of Mormon, coming to church, or really investigating anymore. I hope she makes that big decision sometime in the future, and sooner rather than later. You can just see how much harder it kept getting for her as time went on. Satan was just working so hard on her so that she wouldn't take that big step. Sad, but she'll come around some day.
We also had a killer zone conference on Tuesday that was all about us raising our expectations, working with faith, and a lot of inspirational stuff....including... Meet the Mormons!!! That movie was freakin awesome. It was super funny and very well done.
Cool, glad to hear (from some of you) that things are going well! Love ya'll lots and sorry I don't have any photos. I think my camera is just permanently broken. No joke. I might just need to buy a new sim card. But I also hate my camera... It's probably not worth it to buy a new one for the last six months of my mission though. I'll do some looking and see if I can just get a new sim card. K bye and have a great week!
