I'm currently in the beautiful city of Gent, chilling in a nice, cool, library, listening to smooth jazz over the library speakers while I attempt to stay focused and email everyone. I'll try and remember to take pictures today =) Anyways, sorry I don't have time to write everyone back all of the time. So this general email is going to include a miracle that I'd rather not type up to each individual person. It was awesome skyping the fam yesterday by the way =) I can't believe how much Ryan is growing up...
So a few cool things from this week: Our district meeting was totally not prepared at all this week, it just had a very basic outline. And then I found out that President and Sister Robinson were coming and the APs. Wonderful. I don't want them to think that we're taking crap care of the district, so I got a bit nervous and prayed quite a bit that morning. And let me just tell you how grateful I am for the Spirit. I really felt the desire to just give our district a good meeting that we could all grow and benefit from. And then it ended up being awesome. I love those moments when the Spirit just fills the room and just confirms everything that you know to be true. The Holy Ghost really has such a literal power that I wish most people would be more open to recognize and utilize.
Like with our lesson with Benjamin this week. He prayed about the Book of Mormon after our first lesson with him and he told us that he just felt like his next day went a lot better than usual, that he just felt happier. And he knew that was his answer, and thats enough for him. It's so cool teaching him because he already is so prepared. I don't think I've ever had lessons with an investigator with so many questions given to the investigator. But he just kept giving us great answers that went along with our truths, but just needed a little more doctrine behind them. He's definitely on the right path and I hope he continues on it.
Then there was the other day when we just had way to much stuff going on and we weren't going to get any missionary work done. I hate that. But sure enough, as we were racing around running errands and going to members and stuff, people kept contacting us! A young family on the bus recognized us as mormon missionaries so we talked with them for a bit, then as we were walking a young guy came up to us and said, "Hey! I talked with one of your friends before and they didn't go visit my mom like I asked them too! She loves church." Oh, I guess we'll do that. Tip of the hat to you, good sir! God blesses us whenever and wherever. No matter what our circumstances are. Is there anything better than serving Him?
Cool, a whole email of miracles for you guys this week. Alstublieft. Love ya'll, byyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeee
