A year in review: I've fought the good fight, and it's only getting better. Last night, we actually had a really good talk with a member about obedience and the purpose of this life and stuff. No biggy, just little things, ya know? But basically, as missionaries, we are working on exact obedience. As non-full-time-missionary-member-people we are working on good, better, and best. We're always working to improve, no matter what.
Kind of daunting and especially difficult at times. But then my companion and I talked for a while about how important it is to stay focused on an eternal perspective while remembering to ''enjoy the little things'' (rule #47 or something like that, movie reference?). So I've been pushing myself to keep finding ways to improve and setting little goals to reach my long-term goals. Hard stuff. Chapter 6 (Christlike Attributes) of Preach My Gospel is a pretty big focus right now. Chapter 2 (Effective Study) with Chapter 5 (Book of Mormon) as well. In case you guys are curious what I'm working on...
Actually, my study of the Book of Mormon has been amazing lately. I think I mentioned before that I'm reading it with the purpose now of finding answers to practical questions throughout my life. I really put the BoM to the test and have actually posed all of my questions about school to God, and believe it or not, I'm literally finding answers in the BoM to help me make my decisions. More on that another week.
But I'm still nervous about school and how that's all going to get figured out before I get back. I just don't have the time here to set up scholarships and everything. I want to do the research for it, but that's quite difficult...
Anyways, Elder Ballard is coming to our mission this week! I'll let you know how that goes next week =)
Sounds like everything's going well with you guys. I love you all a lot! Oh and I'll also let you guys know about transfer calls next week, if anything happens to us. Byyyyyeeeeeeee!!!!!
