Well one of the AP's had a birthday on the 23rd, one of our ZL's had a birthday on the 29th, and mine was on the 30th. So last Monday, we went to an amazing buffet called Gouden Wok. De-fricken-licious. We definitely got our money's worth. That was with the APs, the ZLs, and the ZLs from Den Haag, and Us (the roommates of the APs). Ha ha =) Then, on the 29th, we went to Burger Bar. ALSO AMAZING! Finally, a burger place that isn't your usual crappy Dutch burgers. Seriously. I miss Astro Burger so much. Then, on the 30th, we went and bought some cheesecake =D And the sister missionaries made me some double chocolate fudge cake. Lekker. And I also got an awesome package from you guys! The card was hilarious, totally had Dad written all over it. We're planning on building a track of some sorts for the cars soon. And the candy cannot escape my wrath =D Thanks a ton!! Also, the contacts and deodorant are much appreciated =)
Besides that, missionary work exploded for us this week. It's awesome. We've got some baptismal dates (set for a couple months in advance though), a lot of people have accepted to be baptized if they come to know these things are true, and we just had a bunch of lessons (as far as numbers for our mission go).
I've noticed throughout my mission though, that once you start seeing miracles like this, or receiving just a lot of blessings in general, you gotta be grateful, thank God in prayer, and stay humble. It's interesting that when the scriptures speak of being less than the dust of the earth, that actually brings me a bit of comfort. Knowing that all that I am, and all that I have, I can thank God for. Everything he's done for us, is a testament of His great love and power. So it strengthens my hope and faith more, and that opens the door more for God to bless me and others through me.
Okay, I'm gonna go play some sports on a beach at a lake in Haarlem now. Bye! Love you guys a lot and thanks for your emails and the gifts!!
