And not much more. Just the usual stuff........ Actually, I have a surprise for you guys, but I haven't received it yet............... Kinda sucks. Oh the suspense!
I didn't sleep too well last night so I'm pretty tired right now.... And nothing too eventful happened this week. Kim is struggling a bit because she is just afraid to make the decision to be baptized. She brings up new concerns every week, but we all know (she even said it herself) that they're not real concerns and she already understands it all. So we just keep reviewing everything. It's weird, so many people struggle just to ask God in prayer if these things are true. They always dance around the questions and never actually say it in faith. I've noticed that so often on my mission. Why are people so afraid to receive an answer from God? I know that once Kim actually asks God, it'll not only confirm what she already believes, but she'll feel the Spirit undeniably. That's the support she needs to make the decision to be baptized. But right now, we're just waiting and doing our best to support her.
Last night, we had dinner with Zr. Valk, who was recently baptized. She's such an awesome lady. She's gonna be leaving in the middle of February to go on vacation to Suriname to visit her kids and grandkids. So she cooked us a bunch of delicious Surinamese food last night and we had a lot of fun.
Tonight, we're going with Pablo, also recently baptized, to a Priesthood Leadership Training for all preisthood holders in the stake. He's hilarious. It'll be fun to go there with him.
Meal plans at BYU are really weird. And it depends on where I choose to live as well. Which I also don't know. Or who I'm going to room with. I'm doing little bits of research here and there, but I can't do as much as I'd like to.
Plus, there's still the chance I don't even get accepted there. Slim, but possible. That'd be a game-changer! I guess I'd just go to the U if that happened. Ooooo maybe I shouldn't tell you guys that. You'll probably just prank/lie to me and say that I didn't get accepted, just so I'll go to the U. Ha ha =) But the application deadline is tomorrow. So hopefully we'll get a letter within the next month. Please send a photocopy to me as soon as possible! Thanks =)
It finally snowed here. Barely though. We've actually gotten more hail than snow. The climate is also a lot different here though as opposed to East or South Netherlands. Or Belgium. Apparently, there's been quite a bit of snow in those areas.
Cool well have a great week. Love you all!
